The adventurous few have always been traveling, exploring, and discovering this planet. Thanks to a handful of these early adventurers and explorers, we are all here, now, and living in this ever crowded world. The truth is that in only a precious places has our planet managed to impede mans rapid urbanization. In what was once a vast, uncharted, and frequently inhospitable environment, today but few places exist where true primary nature can still be experienced. One of them is the Amazon Jungle. To go there is to visit one of Earths most powerful mysteries, a visit to the incubator of life.
While for those adventurous enough to experience the Amazon on her terms, to live with her, to live from her, for these explorers the opportunity still exists to experience life as it once was. The one-of-a-kind adventures offered by 0°_ Latitude date back to the beginning of human existence when surviving was the only concern.

Our Jungle Survival Course will teach you to be self-sufficient in the jungle for up to two weeks using ancient fishing, hunting and food gathering techniques. Your guides will be the ancients themselves, still living today as they have been for generations, with the jungle, from the jungle. However, despite the breadth and depth of knowledge your indigenous guides will impart on you, you will learn more from yourself. This is not a trip for the causal tourist. This is a personal experience that will change the way you look at life. You will be forced to dig deep within yourself in order to overcome the series of logistical, physical, and mental hardships that today have all been removed from our daily existence. You will struggle, and you will overcome.
However, unlike our forefathers, well do have modern technology on our side. Despite the remoteness of the places we go, and the hardships we subject ourselves to, we provide an extensive safety net of emergency procedures and logistical support not available to our ancestors.
We run an intensely focused, highly personalized operation and expect a lot from our clients. For this reason we believe a high guide to participant ratio critical to success and therefore limit our groups to 10 people (minimum of 6)
Minimal environmental impact philosophy
Following the techniques from our guides we will invariably use resources from the jungle. However, it is understood that only those resources necesary for our survival will be used, and nothintg else.
